Some stories ask to be told. Others demand it.
The Veteran’s Voices collection wasn’t something I planned from the start—it was something I felt deep in my heart. It came from years of sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee gone cold, listening to my husband wrestle with things he couldn’t always put into words. It came from the quiet courage of friends who served, from their silences, their dark jokes, their strength, and sometimes their brokenness.
If you know and love someone who served, you probably understand that feeling of wanting to do something when words aren’t enough.

That’s what this collection became for me. A way to honor those stories. A place to put some of the things we carry.
And there’s more to it than that. I can’t ignore the reality that so many of our veterans are struggling—not just silently, but visibly. Too many are living on the streets, fighting battles we don’t see. Mental illness, PTSD, the ghosts of war—they take a toll that our society too often overlooks. It breaks my heart to know that people who once risked everything are now forgotten, even discarded, by the very system and citizens they served.
When my husband was deployed after 9/11 with the Army Reserve, I was suddenly at home with six children and a three-week-old grandchild. The deployment took its toll on me and our whole family. Sometimes, the ones left behind suffer just as much as those in uniform. For me, it was a time of constant struggle. I didn’t always handle it well. I’m not entirely sure I was the best I could be for my children or my husband, but somehow, we all muddled through and came out on the other side.
Since then, I’ve always had it on my heart to do something more. But I never quite knew what that was—until now.
Every piece in Veteran’s Voices is made with intention. Some are inspired by specific memories—a dusty pair of boots by the door, a dog tag resting against a chest, a flag folded just so. Others come from the things I wish I’d had to give when someone needed a little strength. A token. A reminder. Something to hold on to.
This isn’t about politics. It’s not about slogans or sides. It’s about people. It’s about love and sacrifice and trying to keep your head above water when the current pulls strong.
I made this collection for the families who wait and worry. For the veterans who wonder if anyone sees them. For the quiet heroes. For the ones still finding their way home.
Celtic Bella Creations proudly supports the Gary Sinise Foundation, because they do the hard, beautiful work of lifting up those who gave so much.
So that maybe, just maybe, someone feels a little more seen. A little more understood. A little less alone.
Thanks for being here. For listening. For caring. If you ever want to share your story or ask about mine, I’m just a message away.
